Roads Scholars 2005 Report from Kram-a-Lot Inn travel blog

There sure is lots to do around here. Yesterday we drove to Colorado Springs from Denver. We visited the US Airforce Academy, the USA Hockey Headquarters, the Figure Skating Museum, and Seven Falls. Then drove back to Denver.

Chuck, Kelly (daughter), Chip (son), and Trey (grandson) and I all squeezed into a "five passenger" rental car. Along with all of our backpacks, coats and who knows what all else! I should have rented a 9 passenger van.

After dropping all but Trey off at the hotel in Denver, Trey and I drove back out to the camper in Golden. Today Trey and I went back to Colorado Springs and visited the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, took the cog train up Pikes Peak, and drove through the Garden of the Gods where we had fun climbing all over the rocks. Trey helped me up when I sat on the rocks to take his picture. He helped me climb down the rocks when I got stranded then he told my why he helped. Grandpa told him to "take care of Grandma!"

Tomorrow we'll have another mystery trip -- I never tell him where we're going 'cause I'm never sure I'll get there. So where ever we get is where we're going. It works!

Granny's getting tired. But having a whale of a time!
