Eric went and bought fresh croissants for breakfast - delicious.
It is another mild morning and we leave for another day of enjoying the countryside…..this time with George along, their lovely golden lab. Our first stop is a fairy book little town called Segur le Chateau Corrrez – with magical thinking, we would move here in a moment with the gorgeous landscape, twisting little streets and lovely river running through.
Our next stop is Pompadour, a town of the French National Registry of Horses (former home of Madame Pompadour)– Sally loves all animals, especially horses. There is an open event happening – jumping. We watch a few go through their paces and then go to a large tent where we can buy a lovely buffet meal and, while there, riders, the public and their dogs, all come traipsing through.
We walk around the town and then begin for home, stopping off at a Dutch TROC and an antique store.
Dinner tonight is a banquet of mussels, bread, wine, cheese and Joie De Vie, homemade firewater.
