|Well we spent our first night at a Wal-Mart and I was never so happy to see one! We headed out yesterday with a casino campground as our destination. When we got there the camping sites were all back in and there wasn't a place to park the RV in the parking lot so on we went. We have been traveling 4 months and have seen Camping signs along the way so we could stop at many different places. So the next RV stop I picked off of Microsoft Streets and Trips was the Phantom RV Campground in some city in OK. Should have known from the name we would not find it. I tried calling the number but there was no answer. So we headed down the road for the first place to stop. Wal-Mart in some OK city that starts with W along I40. We bought bread and juice for $4 and it was the cheapest night yet. It was actually a nice quiet place to stop, but because we were "boon-docking" we didn't start the furnace until we were freezing about 5am. It was 55 degrees inside the RV. Warmed up quickly. We were up and on our way about 8am. We drove through some rain along I40, but nothing severe. We reached our camping destination about 2 this afternoon. Jay thought it was too early to stop, but after yesterday, I wanted to get off the road early. We are plugged in tonight with cable, hot showers and decent bathrooms. Tomorrow we will get to AZ. Plan to stop there before heading down the hill. The schedule says home before noon on Tuesday. Ready to be there. Local weather shows rain up here in Northern New Mexico and AZ so depending on the weather we will see. See you all soon.
