We left our hotel to head for the city of Lucca, on the way to the Cinque Terre in Liguria, Italy. We spent a few hours in Lucca and had lunch, followed by a delightful tour of the city, on foot. Then we drove on to the town of Pietrasanta where marble is sculpted, and visited a studio where beautiful marble statues were being made. This really was mostly a travel day, so we drove on much further, to Santa Margherita in Liguria, on the Italian Riveria. We are staying in the classy Hotel Miramare right on the sea, and had a group dinner there in the hotel dining room.
