Maintenance & Factory Tour
Sep 21, 2010
|The plan was for our RV to be rolled into the shop at 8:00 this morning. With that in mind we were up, Dressed, and sipping our coffee by 6:30.
We had some plans to visit the DRV factory for the owners tour at 8:30 this morning, so we were on the way by 8:00.
We met some nice folks who were also at the factory for the tour, and the tour took right at 2 hours.
We saw some of the new changes for the 2011 models and went inside several models from the two-bathroom, 43’ model to the 38’ model with four slides and a side bath.
We sure would like to have the “one button” leveling but not for what it would cost to put it on our rig. LOL
After the tour, we returned to Paul Cross RV for a bit and then drove one of the Amish Furniture companies called “Lambright Comfort Chairs”.
We tried various chairs to replace the theater seating we have in our rig. And finally made a decision for two new Classic Cruiser rocker, recliner, swivel, chairs. We chose a fabric and the chairs will be ready for us on Friday morning.
Our plan is to head back to Missouri on Saturday morning.
Marilyn called Lanette and Mac and we will meet them for lunch tomorrow at “The Blue Gate” restaurant in Shipshewana.
We have some shopping to do while we are over there, too.
We ate a late lunch and headed back to the RV shop, where they had most of the small items completed. The windows are one of the remaining items to be done. They may have to go pick up the windows tomorrow before they can replace the ones we need.
We look forward to having everything in good working order when we leave.
We have had no internet service until late this afternoon, so we posted yesterday’s blog earlier and can now get this one up for you.
