It poured rain all night last night. The lightning flashed and the thunder crashed and sleep was rare. We feel sorry for the folks staying here in tents.
We were awake most of the night and out of bed by 5:15 this morning.
We sat, bleary eyed, in the living room, sipping our coffee and listening to the rain pounding the roof of our RV.
The phone rang about 5:30 and it was Jennifer cancelling our plans to go to the zoo today. That was a no-brainer but we were glad to hear from her.
I returned to the comfort of our bed but never did fall back to sleep.
Marilyn showered and dressed, then put a load of laundry in, while I helped her put clean bedding on the bed.
We finally made a decision on the 2011 RV-Dreams Rally in Sevierville, TN next April. We registered and then reserved a site at River Plantation RV Park in Sevierville. We will be in Site #230 for the rally, from April 10 to April 17, and then head back to Hannibal to see our kids and grandkids.
We waited for the rain to stop so that we could get outdoors and finish our preparation to leave here tomorrow. We are leaving some things here, that we don’t need in Indiana.
I loaded extra stuff into the van until the van was fully packed and then moved it to the parking area.
I loaded a few things into the truck and we delivered that to the kids before driving back to the campground to watch some TV and get an early start to a night of rest.
Tomorrow we expect about 8 ½ hours of driving, to reach our destination.
We’ll have the RV work done in a couple of days and hope to be back in Missouri by next Saturday.
We hope all of you good folks have a wonderful day.
If you are moving with your RV we wish you safe travels. We know that we’ll be seeing some of you down in the RGV this winter.
God Speed dear friends.
