The Texas Capitol Building - 28' taller than the US Capitol Building.
The top of the Texas dome is much different that the US.
Doesn't Virg look like he'd be good at that job!
| We took a little side trip to Canyon Lake to visit our friends, Wayne and Mary. We had reservations for a family event that didn't work out so it gave a great chance to spend more time with our good friends. We always like going there because we have become sort of an honorary part of their circle of friends. They always give us the big Texas welcome when we come to town and we love it. This time we took a little day trip over to Austin, TX so that I could see the Texas Capital. It really is a beautiful city and the Capitol building is a close second to the US Capitol in Washington, DC. In fact, it's dome is 28' taller. Leave it to those Texans to build it bigger and the taller than those Feds! |
