OK How cool is this for a computer junkie - We are driving across Indiana toward Illinois and I have the laptop up at the passenger seat, the hot spot Verizon Palm phone on, the GPS device hooked to the laptop and I am plugged into the inverter. It is 11:24 EDT. We just had brunch in Plymouth, IN. Not sure where we will stop today. Headed to Joliet, IL the Empress Casino RV park. We will see what time it is and if we want to stop driving for the day. Eventually we will be in Milwaukee, WI from Monday Sept 20 - 27. Decided to see The House on the Rocks rather than the Dells as it is supposed to rain all week. The Escapade was great. We took all the classes for the RV Boot-camp and earned our pins and badges. These classes were on all elements of the RV from basic maintenance, to tires and each individual system - electrical, plumbing, etc. We learned a lot, met some very nice people that we will see again in Gillette, WY next summer. I went back on Wednesday to Hoosier Meats, Middlebury, IN for some smoked pork chops to freeze and bring with us. These were the best from Amish pigs and then smoked by the shop. These are great because they do not need to be cooked, only warmed through on the grill and as long as I was there I picked up a Raspberry cream pie. Wednesday's dinner was awesome. As planned now, we should be home by Oct 10. When we leave Milwaukee, we will head south to Carbondale, IL to visit with my cousins Steve and Kathleen for a night. Then we will stop in Carthage, MO for 3 nights. There is a RV salvage yard there where we are looking for a bin door and a refrigerator handle. We will also day trip to see my niece Gidget and her daughter Taylor. Next planned stop is Broken Arrow, OK so I can visit with Toni & Scott Kingsburry and their family. Then home to AZ. We will play all the rest stops by ear.
