Yesterday aand today we enjoyed our visit to the Amish Community here in Loudonville OH. This is said to be the largest Amish community in the world. As in Lancaster PA there were lots of handmade quilt and craft shops and of course the great Amish cooking with wonderful desserts that one must try some of each. There was a museum that we toured that gave some great history of the Amish and Mennonites in the area. We went to the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. Here we walked with an Amish interpreter to view a 265 foot circular mural depicting the Amish and Mennonite history. It is quite an amazingly detailed mural.
