Day 1 and we made it to Hilton Head, SC. Everything went very smoothly except we took the scenic route and between lights and traffic, it took us a bit longer to get there.
We traveled through Pauley's Island, Charleston, etc. We did not stop and buy any Sweet Grass baskets at the roadside stands. Not at $100 plus for the smallest basket. We stopped half way and had lunch in the RV. As we went further south, we went through a town called, Beaufort. A very military town. You'll see a picture of the planes in front of the Marine Corp Air Station.
When we got to HH, we checked into the RV resort and then took a ride around the island. I remember years ago, Tara saying there is nothing here but golf courses. She's right. We did find the beach and all agreed that the water in NC is nicer. Dinner was at a BBQ restaurant. Food was good, waitress needed customer service 101.
Back at the RV, we walked to the pool and had a very relaxing evening there.
We've decided that this will be a one night stay. Tomorrow we're off to Tallahassee.
P.S. Checkout the new short hair? Blond complements of the NC sun.
