Double bridge over the Missouri River.

Bridge over Mississippi River on I-70 at St. Louis

A nicely cultivated field. Soil looks fertile.

Look closely. This is the sign at Illinois state line on I-70.

Passed through Illinois and now into Indiana.

Another travel day, working our way to New Holland, PA, for the Travelin' Tarheels rally. We left Warrenton, Missouri, at 7:45 am CDT and headed east on I-70. We traveled on through Missouri, across Illinois and Indiana. When we crossed into Indiana, the time zone changed to Eastern Daylight Time. We continued to see agricultural crops, especially corn and soybeans. We arrived at the Flying J Travel Plaza in Spiceland, Indiana, about 3:45 pm EDT. Another 7-hour travel day, covering 340 miles. Since there are no campgrounds in this area, we decided to spend one more night dry camping at a Flying J Travel Plaza. Tomorrow we will continue our journey eastward.
