In Memory of Anita Schaefer As many of you may know, my mother Anita was a very strong willed and positive person who chose to fight her brain cancer with 'guns a blazing'. She treated this like all other hurdles, and was determined that the cancer was not going to get the better of her. She was not going to go without a fight. Unfortunately, my mom didn’t win this battle (though, it must have been the first one she didn’t win!) but not for lack of trying. My mother loved flowers and was an avid gardener (my own garden is proof positive of that), but before she passed she did request that in lieu of flowers we donate on her behalf to Dr. Klimo's fund. My mom became involved with Dr. Klimo midway through her battle with cancer. Dr. Klimo believes strongly in positive thinking,. He also believes that thinking 'outside the box' is important when it comes to cancer treatment and helping patients in their fight to beat their cancer. Not only did Dr. Klimo help my mother but he also helped another close family member. This special fund has been set up to assist people in their battle against cancer. My mom would have wanted to help others with their fight, especially if it meant saving someone else’s Omi, Opi, mom, dad, sister, brother, daughter or son. Please help my mom in any way you can, as we know that this would make her very happy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
