Blueberry Festival sign

Crowd headed to covered bridge

Carousel

Late yesterday afternoon the weather continued to be windy. Jay decided to put the awning up. Which was good and bad. The vibration from the wind all day loosened up a bolt and we now have an awning that we can't put out until it is bolted back together. Today we went to the LARGEST festival we have ever seen. Advertised as the largest in Indiana it covered probably 1/2 square mile! There were arts and craft booths and many artists there working. There were sporting events. There was entertainment on 3 stages that were so far apart that you could not hear the music from one to the next. Tents that were the largest we have ever seen. Not to mention the covered bridge across the river. There were regular carnival games and a midway. Walked in circles and still missed some. We enjoyed the day it was about 68 degrees this afternoon so the weather was perfect to be with 100,000+ people. We stopped and voted on the motorcycles...so really pretty bikes. I am sure Jay is getting anxious to ride his Harley. But I really need to get the laundry done, so tomorrow we will be staying home. I expect company in the afternoon, Jay's cousin Nancy and her family will be stopping by to see our summer home. Tomorrow, while I wash the clothes, Jay will be working to put the coverings on the steps that we bought and maybe the new light that is a motion detector. It is supposed to go down to 45 degrees tonight. Then start warming up through the week. Today's high of 66 reminds us that we need to travel south on our way home.
