Another 104 miles (I-95, US202, SR115, SR35, SR25, SR16) brought us to the Beaver Hollow campground in Ossipee, New Hampshire. We came to this area to visit with ML (Mary Lynn) and Jeff who summer at The Bluffs in Freedom, Maine. Ken and ML were colleagues at Xerox in Leesburg, Virginia. ML and Jeff gave us tour of their new trailer and, recently completed, enclosed porch. They also gave us a tour of their park. We dined at the 4 star Stone Ridge Restaurant and Lodge (185 Main St.-Rt 25, Cornish, Maine 207-625-2009) where we would definitely recommend the three lobster dinner for $19.95. They also took us to Deer Cap for some delicious cherry moose tracks ice cream. It was so good we returned to purchase a quart-to-go.
Another 4 star meal was had at Yankee Smokehouse (northern intersection of SR25 and SR16, West Ossipee), great BBQ sandwiches and a magnet for visiting Harley Davidsons.
