Our driveway "campsite".
| September 1, 2010. After a short drive of 110 miles we are now "camping" in the driveway of Christine and James' lovely home in Hickory, NC. And, with some regret, we must say that this concludes this edition of our Trip Journal. We have enjoyed having you along for the ride and reading your comments; it was almost like being with you along the way. The rest of this month we'll be traveling to Massachusetts with just our car for a lot of visiting and the highlight will be grandaughter Sarah's marriage to Sean Cruise. That will take place in VT on Sept 25th and involve all our children (from CA, NC, MA, NY, TX, PA) and many of their spouses and children too. So, a wedding AND a family reunion, great fun. Then Betty, Lill and I fly to Italy on Oct 1 for 26 days of self-drive touring. We will start a new Trip Journal to cover that trip and hope you'll follow us there and enjoy that too. It's been fun.
