Our trip from New Annan, PEI to Fredericton, NB was 203 miles of mostly good roads. Our trip started with a ride over the Confederation Bridge
which cost us 56.50 but since they only charge you to leave the island, that made the ferry over two weeks ago free. We had to fill the Mothership on the way so it took a little over four hours total. Gas was .975 per liter or about 3.705 per gallon. That's the first time we have paid less than 1.00/liter since we left NB a couple of months ago but it still added up to $246. We are staying at Hart Island RV Resort which pretty well lives up to its name, at least in price. No, it does have a lot going for it. It is right on the river with canoes, kayaks and paddle boats for rent. It also has its own golf driving range, putt-putt course, riverboat tour, large swimming pool, great playground and sells all kinds of yummies in its take-out place. All of the things we have to pay for but don't use. We have a 30 amp with water site and it is very nice as you can see from the pictures. We have WiFi, good Verizon and I was able to get an 80 strength reading on the satellite for the first time in two months.
After getting set up we went down on the strip for lunch and then attempted to see the historic downtown district. There was so much construction on the buildings we were wanting to see and the traffic was so heavy with all the detours, we finally just gave up. Doris was able to snap a couple of photos but not what we wanted for sure. We were able to set up an appointment to get the oil changed in the Mothership tomorrow on the way out of town though I had to go to Wal-Mart and get my own oil. None of the service shops here carry Castrol Syntec.
Tomorrow, after the oil change, we head for Edmundston, NB.
