Lake Utah in a Storm

Lake Utah the Next Morning

A Fishing Duck

The Harbor at Utah Lake State Park

This morning we went to church in Provo. St. Mary's is a nice little church built in the 1890's. We learned from a nice gentleman that we met after the service, that all of the exterior bricks are damaged in some way because they are seconds donated to the church by the brick company. We had a nice conversation with him about places to see in Utah, ski areas, and Idaho where he had lived. After church, we found an IHOP and had a really late breakfast (early afternoon), then returned to the RV to do laundry. When the laundry was finished, we drove the quarter mile to Utah Lake. It is a huge lake that runs along Provo and Orem. Unfortunately, a storm was brewing and the winds were blowing gales with water splashing over the break water. We stayed a while, took a few pictures, watched the fishermen trying not to get blown away and a boat literally blowing across the protected harbor, then returned to the RV. We called Eunice for her 95th birthday then called it a day.

Note: Today's pictures are a mish mosh not all taken today. We have added the Cabela's pictures because so many of you have not been to Cabela's. The ones we have been to are huge (larger than most Bass Pro Shops) and have these displays of big game in habitats in various places in the store. The pictures of the lake are from the stormy day and the morning after. Just wanted to clarify why the pictures did not seem to go with the journal.
