There wasn't much to do to get ready for breakfast since we slept in our clothes. A trip to the bathroom and we were good to go. We slept on deck seven and had to go to deck five for the cafeteria. Meals on board were reasonable and not bad. Spent the morning reading yesterday's Globe and Mail. At 11:00 AM the onboard entertainment started in the bar. Two guys and a drum machine and they sang (well) all types of songs. They would play for an hour and then take an hour rest. This pattern continued until 6:30 PM. A great way to pass the time. We also did a couple of laps around the outside deck to stretch our legs as you do a lot of sitting. During the morning the captain announced that one of the engines was giving them trouble and he was shutting it down to do repairs. This meant an 8:30 PM arrival instead of 4:30 PM. We felt good that we had made a reservation in Argentia as we were not comfortable driving to St. John's at night especially as that highway is known for its large number of moose/vehicle collisions. Late in the afternoon we both had showers and felt much better as we headed to dinner. We arrived in Argentia at 8:30, found our way to the campsite which was only a kilometre away from the ferry dock and settled in for the night. We plugged in, hooked up the water and didn't unhook the truck. Watched a bit of TV and went to bed. We were beat.
