Mediterranean Cruise travel blog

In Croatia we took another bike tour. A bus drove us about half an hour south of Dubrovnik to the Konavle district. The bikes were waiting for us at a local winery. We rode through vineyards and orchards to an old monastery and back. After sampling some wine we drove back to the walled city of Dubrovnik. There were at least 3 cruise ships in port and it was a mob scene. I couldn’t believe the difference from my first trip there in the late nineties. Lisa and I wandered around for a few hours window shopping but most of the stuff was seriously junky. I recommended we get some lunch at Ragusa 2, a restaurant I ate at years earlier. We split a plate of farmer’s cheese then had seafood in a tomato sauce with polenta. They also gave us several glasses of local spirits that did us in completely.
