The Canadian side - the War Memorial with the American Flag

And the Canadian Flag in flowers

Thanks to Groupon, we had bought some tickets to a cruise down the Detroit River. It was two hours long and narrated about some of the historical places along the river. It was a really nice trip. The weather was just right - cool with a breeze - slightly cloudy, but still good.

As we passed a group of sailboats, a gun went off and they started to race - almost right into our boat! We sailed up the Michigan side and then into Canadian waters and down the Canadian side where we saw the Windsor, Canada skyline as well as lots of lovely homes right on the river. On our way back up to Detroit, we could see the skyline and several important buildings such as the Joe Louis Arena. I can't believe Modano is going to be there next year!

Tomorrow, we're taking the day off from sightseeing to do some honeydo's around the motor home. Into each RV, some cleaning must fall. Sunday, we start back to Illinois.
