More reversing rapids

Take a tour of the rapids!

The Bay of Fundy’s most impressive feature is the tides. Due to freak of geography the tides here are amplified and can be as high as 50 feet and that means a lot of water moving pretty fast in a 12 hour period. Miles of beaches are quickly covered and empty harbours with stranded boats are filled almost as you watch.

Another strange phenomenon is reversing falls where the water falls one way at low tide and then the other direction at high tide – pretty unique.
