As the old saying goes..."All good things must come to an end". That's the bad news...The good news is that it ends in beautiful Malibu Beach!
We arrived at Malibu Beach RV resort on Thursday in the early afternoon with plenty of time to set up and relaxingly enjoy the massive ocean views and the 74 degree temps. The resort was built in 1974, well before the advent of triple slideouts. The spaces, therefore are rather narrow, but the "retro-coolness" of the property and the incredible views more than made up not being able to put the awning out.
The first thing we did when we arrived was to find a local seafood market. And boy, did we hit paydirt! We chose freshly caught swordfish and purchased some really nice produce. On the menu...Grilled Swordfish with Mango Salsa, Wild Rice and Fresh Corn on the Cob! Yummmmm!
We soon settled into what we affectionly call "the art of doing nothing". What a better way to spend the last few days of our incredible adventure. Next stop...My lounge chair, sunglasses, a great cigar and the start of a good book...AND, I did I mention a 180 degree Pacific View?
We hope you have enjoyed "traveling" along with us as we embarked on our first long road trip. We hope that we haven't bored you too terribly...But then if you are reading this, you must be somewhat enrolled in our personally endulgant travel log.
Peace, love and happy travels!
