(Ron Writing) We are still in Garden Grove, CA awaiting diagnosis and treatment of my shoulder problem. I had an MRI scan taken on Wednesday and have a follow-up appointment scheduled with Dr. Fischer next week Thursday. The shoulder just keeps getting worse with my range of motion steadily decreasing. I tried doing some exercises intended to maintain or increase the range of motion but it didn’t seem to help and if anything was making the problem worse so I’m just waiting to see the doctor.
In the mean time we are enjoying time with friends and just taking it easy. I’ve managed to catch up on a lot of computer work that I neglected while we were in Hawaii. The weather has gotten a little warmer but we are still managing without using the air conditioner.
Last Sunday we attended worship service at the Saddleback Community Church for the first time. The lead pastor, Rick Warren, was away on vacation but one of the other pastors, Tom Holladay, did an excellent job of filling in for him. Saddleback is a very large church but we were impressed with the organization and the worship service.
We have had several get togethers with our friends during the past couple weeks. Today we had lunch with our friend Norm at Belacan Grill. We enjoyed both the spicy Malaysian food and the good company.
We've also shared several meals with Barbara and Archie. Tonight Barbara made a delicious Mexican chicken casserole and we played some games after dinner.
