| Hi everybody. I'm staying at a very nice campground about 10 miles from Hershey PA. The sites are nice and level and they have a very nice General Store that also serves quite a few meal choices. The store has a lovely, big front porch with tables and chairs and rocking chairs for anyone who wants to "sit a spell". They also have a free shuttle to Hershey Park or to the Hollywood Casino attached to the Penn National Racetrack. Sam and I have just sort of relaxed since pulling in here on Sunday so, yesterday, I made arragements to take the shuttle to the casino. I had a great time..especially since I won a sizeable jackpot on one of the nickel machines. The slots were VERY generous while I was there, which makes it even more enjoyable. I ate at the buffet which, while more expensive than Tioga, was very nice. The whole place reminded me of a Vegas casino. Today is another "hang out and veg" day. It's a bit cloudy and cooler than previous days. I might take Sam for a walk down to the Swatera Creek that runs thru this campground and let him play in the water for a bit. Sunday I leave for Harpursville. I'll be there for a month or so...until I can get the Hydrolic leveler that Camping World keeps promising. Then it'll be off on my wanderings to the south. I hope everybody is doing well and I'll be in touch. |
