| Another long day of driving but not much traffic and beautiful scenery!! The mountains go right down to Lake Superior - trees and rocks. Lots of "watch for moose" signs - in English and French. One 1/2 mile section of road had motion sensors on each side of road with lights that would flash if a moose was detected on the road. Good thing we drove the section during the afternoon. This campground was packed - most campground areas along the beach but we selected the "radio free" section - very few campers there. Up on a hill. The next morning we enjoyed a dune nature walk - was cloudy and cool so Athena enjoyed it. Couldn't get Athena to go in the water! |
