Barge Loaded with Freight headed for the Pacific

Close up of Boat Pushing the Barge

Old abandoned school we drove past, sure there is alot of history...

A beautiful field of wheat

Today we decided to take a road trip and enroute made a change of plans and headed for Pendleton, Oregon where the Wool blankets and clothes are made (more about that in a couple of days). We are coming back to stay in Pendleton and will do some touring than.

The drive was along the Columbia River (the Columbia River drive is a must do for anyone that love scenery, it is so beautiful). Runs along Washington and Oregon border. They move freight along the Columbia River on barges headed for the Pacific Ocean (which after owning a boat, we cannot understand how this is affordable, but must be).

Stopped and read an old indian legend about 3 sisters, their legends are always so interesting. Every rock seems to have a story.

Played the slots at the Wildhorse Casino (still collecting casino cards) and than headed back in time for cocktail hour.

Each day is full of suprises and so much fun.
