Mom's Casket
| Today was the funeral. Between the viewing last evening and the service today, what a crowd. Since last Wed. between arrangements/preparations and visitors, there has been little time for anything else. Dad and I even had to make a trip to the family burial plot in Dovray to confirm which site. With 8 remaining plots we had to make sure where mother was to be buried. The Cemetery Administrator just wasn’t too sure which one to use. The wrong site would not have been good!! With all the activity, the reality just hasn’t set in yet. Showing up at the viewing last night was Congressman Tim Waltz. He left Washington to be here. Mom and Dad had been very active and supportive of him. This made Dad very happy and seemed to re-energize him. What a perfect day weather wise. At the family burial site, Pleasant View Cemetery in Dovray, a pleasant breeze and comfortable temp. |
