We traveled south on I-80, south on Rt. 77, east on Rt. 2 through Nebraska to I-29 south in Iowa, into Missouri. We split off I-29 in St. Joseph MO and drove south on Rt. 59 to Lewis and Clark State Park. This is the only campground in the area where our motor home will fit. We are actually staying in MO, just across the river from Atchison KS. Last time we were here we stayed in Platte City MO, but there is a detour from that campground to drive to Atchison for the reunion, so we decided to stay at the state park, which is about 30 difficult miles closer. Our site, # 19, is flat and shaded, but we have no satellite, internet or cell phone service. Plus we are on un-reliable 30 amp service and have thrown the circuit breaker 3 times already. We have already decided that we will not be staying here again! This is our first time not having cell or internet since we started traveling almost 2 months ago. This evening we will be meeting Bob’s brother Joe and girlfriend Bonnie for dinner at their house.
