The Beange-Findlay US/European Road Trip 2005 travel blog

Well picked up the car. What a bonus it has GPS and we can all programme it to map and guide through the labrynth of French roads. From the zoomy toll roads to the most narrow little lanes thru the villages.

The Loire Valley was a bit wet and cold but the Chateaux were truly awesome. We visited about 5, including the most well known and some smaller cute ones.

For the last few days we have been around Sarlat la Caneda and tonight we are staying in the Abbey at Cadouin. The youth hostel is in the Abbey. We need to have a night under a roof as it really is so cold and damp in the tent at night; Even though it is hot during the day 28 today.

Tomorrow we head towards a kiwifruit orchard close to the border with Spain; Then it is onto Bilbao and Barcelona;
