Great Plains, Big Sky country

July 31st Shelby Montana. We traveled 170 miles today. We've been on the road over 2 months now. We did a quick visit to Glacier National Park today. We were only allowed to drive the RV 16 of the 53 miles of Going to the Sun road. So, we parked and took the shuttle bus the rest of the way. The road was quite narrow and quite scenic. We saw nesting osprey at the St Mary's visitor center. We saw mountain goats on the way back to the RV. Really, the road is very scenic. When we left the park we headed East on US Rt 2. After an hour or so of driving there was a dramatic change of scenery. It went from mountainous to rolling grass land very quickly. On the prairie we saw oil wells and wind turbines. We got groceries at Albertsons and went to a campsite in Shelby Montana.
