We head north again through Boston and into Maine. Our first stop is a campsite just south of Portland. You don’t realise how much noise children can generate until you come somewhere like here. The campground is and ‘Adults Only’ park and is really peaceful. We were due to stay 4 days but Jo promptly increased that to 2 weeks!

Maine is famous for its rugged coastline and countless lighthouses and reminds us a lot of northern Brittany, which we love.
