Howdy Family and Friends,
Most of you are aware of our circumstances concerning our immediate family. However, some of you may not be in the loop of things. So here goes……
We left Maryville with the Cougar in tow on Tuesday of this week heading out to Manchester, Tennessee. We arrived safely at our campground located off exit 105 along I-24 about 60 miles south of Music City about 5 hours later. Set up was easy and we had all our comforts of home ready to go in a short time.
After a short rest we headed out to meet up with Chris’s brother and sisters to help finalize arrangements for Momma Ova. For those of you that don’t know….Chris’s mom Mrs. Ova Burt passed away on Monday July 26, 2010 at the Manchester Health Care Facility.
Momma Ova will be buried at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens just outside Manchester on Friday July 30th. At this time we are scheduled to be here until Sunday morning. We should be back in Maryville on Sunday evening. Please keep the family in your prayers during this very difficult time.
On a lighter note: We have found the campground to be rather quiet and laid back. Nice and cool, back in the oak trees that grow here. This campground is perfect for a couple days layover. They have a very large pool and an authentic barn to have a square dance in. We stayed here last year for about 3 weeks and found the staff to be very laid back and nice.
Sorry for the very short entry this time. Love you all.
In the memory of Dad…..the adventure continues!!
