| Hello, Tuesday afternoon to Thursday we went to shidu. Shidu is a village up in the mountains. We started out to shidu on Tuesday afternoon. We were going by car. When we arrived we went to our rooms and unpacked then we went outside and went to a place where there were lots of horses under a bridge and me and dad got horses and rode along. We started going up a hill and we went up and up. The road we were on was cobbled and there were bits with grass poking through. Mum swapped with dad and then Ben swapped with mum. Then we started going down hill. When we went back to the hotel and gave the horses back. After that we went to have dinner. The next day we went in the car to a place called Gushanzhai a really nice stream and a few waterfalls. To get to it you had to go across a really long wobbly chain bridge. I didn't like the bridge at all. Then we walked on and me and Ben went to places so that mum could take pictures. There was also a really narrow passage that we went in. On the way back me and Ben took off our shoes and waded around in the water. It was really fun. Then we went on down and got back in the car and went back to shidu. When we got back we went up in a cable car to the top of a really big, steep hill. When we got to the top we went to look at a temple. On the way we went up a bunch of steps that had water running down them. It felt really good to walk up the steps with water running down them. Then we got to the temple. The bars that were there so that you couldn't fall down the hill had locks all over them. There were locks on the rail and then lots of other locks on them. It looked really cool. The locks were there because it was the tradition or something like that that when two people married they got a lock and locked it to the bars there so that they would be locked together for life. Then we went down to the halfway stop in the gondola so that then we could go down the zip line thing there. For the zip line thing you are wrapped up really tightly so that you couldn't move very much. You stood on a step and leaned against a front piece and then the step and the front piece tipped so that you slid and then fell off. You went straight down and then you leveled up and went Bang! into a spring. Then you were lowered on to a boat. The order was Dad, Ben, Me and then mum. I really liked the zip line thing. Then we went to a bamboo boat rental place and we got two boats. I poled one around and I really liked it although my arms were sore afterwards. On Thursday we went on a really good horse ride up past the hotel along a valley. We went to a place and bought tickets to go further up the valley. We went up the valley and then we came to the end of it. We looked at a stone that a tree had split open and a rock that had a dragon on it. There was also a rock balanced on another rock but I think men might have put it there. We went back and Me and dad went to a race track place where we could canter. I really liked it. Then for the last thing we did me, mum and Ben went in a small yellow raft down a river and through some fast pieces. Me and mum did the paddling. When we got to the other end we went back to the hotel, had lunch and left shidu. On Sunday we went to meet dads friend Ashley and his mum and dad. Once we had met we went to have a look at some hotels to stay in after we leave this one. We have booked two hotels. Then we went to have lunch. We found a place and had lunch and Ashley showed Ben a game called PvZ which means Plants vs Zombies. It looked really interesting and we went back to our apartment and Ben put it on his/mums i pod touch. Then I tried it and really liked it. This is what happens:The zombies are invading you're house and you have to plant plants which help to kill the zombies. The aim is to destroy all the zombies that attack without them getting to you're house. That night we went out for dinner to a place called dadong duck. It is a place that has really good roast duck. We had dinner and at the end peach corbet and grapes came. From Suzanna. View My Saved Places in a larger map |
