Bluebone - just a bit too small

| This morning we went out to Cygnet Bay at Bily's invitation. They were harvesting the pearls, so there was lots to see - it's a very delicate operation. He gave us a tour and explanation, and then I showed the boys Billy's great house, with open air shower and bath with views onto the water. And with finished both Cyggie Bay coffee and cake for breakfast. We went into OAP and saw Maureen, and her son MooChoo recognised me. Then I went over to see Vivien teaching - she's gorgeous - cute as ever. Then we walked up to see Aunty Violet, at Bertha McCarthy's house. Saw Rowena this morn and hope to catch up this arvo. And Jacqui says next time we come up it'll have to be on holidays when they can spend more time with us. Now the boys are fishing. Josh just pulled in a little (25cm) Bluebone. This afternoon Peter cut down some under bark from a special tree. We cut it up and boiled it over the fire, and tomorrow we will strain it to make special arthritis medicine for Stan's Mum. Peter had an order for some artifacts and is making up 3 boomerangs and a shield. Stan sat with him for an hour or so just watching and talking and listening lots and learning. ......Tonight we went into One Arm to say goodbye to Jacqui and Rowena, and then when we came out we were so tired we had a chat by the fire and then an exhausted sleep. JOEL: "We went to signet Bay. We got a privet toower with my mum's friend. then we went to go see some of mum's friend's. Then we went fishing Josh caught a blue bone. last of all peter gave us bush medesen." |
