Our SPOT log

A relatively short 197 mile run from Jacksonville, FL to Cordele, GA today to get me back into the towing business. I feel like it's been so long, I've forgotten how to do it. Everything went well and we got along fine. My GPS brought me up old US1 to Waycross, GA, then Corridor Z to Tifton and I-75 to Cordele. The ride was very scenic and there was very little traffic on the road. It is depressing to see all of the old businesses along US 1 that closed and frozen in time when the interestes were completed.

It was partly cloudy all day and HOT. The afternoon temperature got to 99. It's almost too hot to go outside.

We got a beautiful site at the State Park and we're looking forward to visiting some of the SW GA attractions over the next couple of days.

In addition to the pictures of the site, I captured my SPOT trip log for the day. SPOT is a device that transmits my location every 10 minutes to satellites which then capture the location and pace it on a map as you can see. I also have the capability of sending OK messages to our children and I can send emergency messages but thank heavens we've never had to do that.

Thanks to everyone for following our travels
