The famous crossing - didnt want to get a photo on it...

We left from Cambridge Station and caught the train to Kings Cross, where we navigated our way through thousands of people and two separate train lines to make it to St John's Wood in plenty of time for the start of play. Only one problem... It was raining.

Once arrived at the ground (with some helpful directions from a Police Officer) we found our fantastic seats, took some obligatory photos of the ground and the new Media Centre (which contrasts with the old fashioned architecture of the members stand on the opposite side of the field), and watched the Australian team warm up in the nets.

Once the match started, the weather got worse, the wind picked up and Jen got so cold she had to go buy a nice Lord's fleece jumper. However, the weather soon turned around and despite a short rain delay, the cricket was relatively unaffected by the early adverse weather conditions. The afternoon saw a total change with blue skies and a warm sun. Over 300 runs were scored and 7 wickets taken. Overall it was a great experience.

On our way back to the tube station we took a short detour to Abbey Rd to see the crossing and recording studio made famous my The Beatles.
