Hello all! It's Friday. That means we've been here in Scotland for 4 days. My Dad always said - Family is like fish, it's only good for about 3 days. So today we all took a bit of a break from each other, which was a very good thing.
Jeff, Dan, Jim, Anne and Drew went out to the Open. They said it would rain and be horrible weather today, so the kids and I opted out, but as it turns out it was a beautiful day out there, so they had a fabulous time. They saw all the action as the parked themselves at the corner of the 13th and 5th greens - it's a double green, so they saw the action from both sides. Jeff came in with quite the wind burn, but he's got all the stories.... Once I get them from him I'll pass them along to you. I feel a bit bad for Rory McIlroy - 9 under yesterday, +8 today. Sounds like something I would do...
Liz and I took the three boys to the Science Centre in Glasgow. Well, actually, first of all we took a tour of West Glasgow by accident on a Magical Mystery Tour (AKA a wrong turn by fault of copilot Teri - really, who would ask me to be a copilot when left is right and roundabouts are rampant???) Anyway, we finally found the bridge we were supposed to cross and found the Science Centre. It was very similar to Science World in Vancouver - very interactive, very fun! The boys had a blast. Liz and I were exhausted, but the boys had a blast!!
On to my second bottle of wine now - going to hear the stories of the Open! Love to all of you!
Teri
