Remi's Trip Around the World travel blog

We woke up early at 6:00 am and realised that the train was going to get into the city centre too late to get our plane. So we had to get off the train quickly and get a taxi to the airport. We arrived at the airport at 6:30 in time to catch a 2 hour plane to Phuket. My ears really started hurting when we were about to land.

From the plane you could see tropical islands surrounded by a still sea. We arrived at the airport and got a taxi to the docks were we would get a ferry to Ko Phi Phi. We had to wait 2 hours for the ferry. The sea was very peaceful. It took 2 hours for the ferry to get to Phi Phi. We passed loads of tropical islands with sandy beaches. Phi Phi was one of the islands that got affected by the tsunami in 2004. We arrived at Phi Phi at 1:00. The island is very good and famous for its double-edged beach. At the first end of the beach is a harbour and it is were all the water taxis are. The second end of the double edged beach is where the coral is. The second beach is much quieter. After waiting we finally found a hotel which we went to. On the way to the hotel we passed a poo botanical gardens. A mix between a sewage works and a garden. In Phi Phi the main mode of transport are bikes but most of the bikes don't have bells.

Instead of one big building the hotel is made up of lot of wooden huts.
