Day 33 Diamond RV Park, Woodland Park, CO
We left a little earlier today than we usually do. It is supposed to be warmer then usual up here in the mountains at 8400 ft. in Woodland Park. We are going down to Colorado Springs which is around 2000 ft lower. They are usually about 10 degrees warmer then Woodland Park during the day and at night.
We went to “The Garden of the Gods“…a terrific place to visit. We thought the rock formations were so amazing. We were there for about 3 hours. Part of that time was driving around & walking among the large rock formations and part of the time was in the visitor Center.
If you’re ever in the Colorado Springs area, it is a site not to be missed……...
That afternoon when we were back at our RV we found out the RV Park was going to have a Country-Western Show in the evening. There is a small stage here at the park where they have shows. So.... at 7 PM that evening we were there with our chairs for the show. It was a one man show with Mike Blakely. He was really pretty good. He sang mostly songs he had writen with a friend. We thought a couple of them were really good and would do good on the charts. He is also a writer of Western Novels. Joe gought one.....so we shall see ;-)
The day was great....wonderful sight, sounds & temperatures.
