David proved to be quite dull, so to avoid boring you all to death with tales of how the hotel looked and where the post office is located, I will hop over the few uneventful days we spent here.
However today we left David, on a bus heading for Panama City. We hopped of the bus at Santa Clara which is about an hour and a half from the city.
In comparison to our other bus adventures this one was somewhat tame and uninteresting, or perhaps the events of this busride passed us by in daze as we sat intoxicated by the heady fumes from the hundred magic-trees hanging from the roof of the bus. Either way I have little to write about this 6 hour drive.
When we arrived at Santa Clara we weren't really sure what to make of it, as well, there's not much to see. When we got off the bus we were standing at a bus stop along the Panamerican highway, with the occassional sign of life scuttling by and a shop and maybe a house in the distance. So to save dwelling in our confusion we flagged down a cab and headed to Las Sirenas.
The grounds at Las Sirenas are stunning, lots of pretty blooms against white washed cabin walls, with a sunny strip of sandy beach a stones throw away. The cabins are really charming and perfectly adequate for a short stay. We soon settled in, headed for the beach and frollocked about in the water like little children.
