The Frugal Travelers travel blog

Dottie and Mark at Fridays last week.

Mason with Grandma Thelma.

Had to see his helmit.

Couldn't get the video to load, so I'll share this with you.

My great niece Brianna.

We arrived here at about 1:30 on Sunday. My Grandsons and Great Grandson were already here, but Jon, Angie and Chelsi all came later. We get such a kick out of watching Mason playing in the yard. Of course he has all the toys God ever created and he wants to make sure we see them all.

He finally drug out his 4 wheeler and had to show us how he can ride it. I took a video of a short ride he took, but don’t know if I can get it loaded or not. It’s cute because he got in trouble with his Grandma for riding it too close to where she was standing. I will try to put it up, but not making any promises.

We spent Monday with Herb, my little brother and Willie, my best Buddy. They took us out for breakfast, then we went back to the house to do a little work on her computer.

While I was messing with the computer, Donnie took the truck to have one of our tires fixed. We picked up a nail somewhere, so it had a slow leak. He also stopped at Auto Zone and picked up oil, to change the oil in the truck, and he also got a fuel filter. He says they never service that part when we take it in, so he will just do it himself.

Yesterday I made a run to the grocery and then did a little cleaning, and later I worked some on Shannon’s computer. I got it all cleaned out, but told her last night that she really needs to back up her picture files. If her computer crashes, she will lose them all. I am trying to talk her into getting an external hard drive, but not sure she is convinced she needs it. I will probably just go ahead and put them on CD’s for her for now. We can always upload them back into the computer and then to an external hard drive later. It would really help the speed on her computer also. She probably has 3 or 4 thousand pictures on file. Way too many… :)

Shannon and I are going to take a little trip to Indy this week-end. She wants to see her Uncle Boone and so do I, so we will leave here late Friday evening, and come back early on Sunday. Charlotte has very graciously let us stay with her, so we won’t have to pay for a motel. Thanks Charlotte… Shannon hasn’t seen her Uncle Boone for over a year. He told me yesterday that his blood count is still up to 8.7, so he didn’t have to get a transfusion on Monday.

This was very hard for me to hear, but one of my Dear readers, Judie from Alabama, wrote to me this week to let me know that she has cancer. Please keep Judie and her family in your prayers. She is such a sweet lady and we will pray for her every day.

My Grandson’s wife, Ebby is going to wash our RV and truck this week and she is supposed to be getting started today. It’s a big job, but she says she can handle it, so we will see.

Later this evening we are going to my best Buddy’s house for beans and cornbread. I can’t wait, I love beans and cornbread. Always was one of my favorite meals.

Well, I’d better get off here and see if I can get some pictures loaded. I will talk to you later. :)
