Camping To San Francisco travel blog

Wet, but not while we set up!

We stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Columbia, Missouri. Lunch and to check on Mommy. She told us she was feeling a little better. Mommy ordered chicken soup, but still could not eat. So she went to lay down outside on a bench while everyone else ate and she finally felt a little better. The Daddy brought a little of the broth out at the end and she ate that.

The weather report was calling for heavy rains, flooding and severe thunderstorms. Of course, we are all thinking “Tornado Alley” as we prepare to drive through Kansas. Well, we did encounter heavy rain. I'm talking about the kind of rain that you can hardly see through. With no shoulder to pull off on we slowed to ~ 30 mph. Hours of rain. But, as luck would have it, about 30 minutes before we arrived at our KOA campsite, the skies cleared and the rain stopped. Oh Happy Day!
