Headed out this morning to visit with Jim and Mary in Ortonville at 10am. Jay has known Jim since Junior High. They lived on the street behind us when we were first married. So we were there and visited for about 3 hours. It is always interesting to visit with them. We both have 2 daughters. Jim was a pipefitter like Jay. Mary has always been a stay at home mom. Different viewpoints on many issues leads to fun discussions. I like to travel and enjoy new things. Mary has never flown and rarely travels away from her family. I will keep encouraging them to visit us in AZ, although it will be like my best friend Doris and her husband Don, they will never make it to AZ before they die. But, that is ok we will still visit every time we are in town.
After we left Jim & Mary's we stopped at Cooks Farm Dairy for ice cream. If you are in town near Clarkston it is well worth the trip. We then headed in to Utica and atempted to visit more old friends Nancy & Bill Rudnik. Their daughter and grandkids arrived early this morning and we missed them. Hopefully, I will get a chance to see them. Then we headed to the Shamrock bar in downtown Utica for lunch (AZ time). Good food brought back old memories. AFter lunch we headed to Kevin Long's house to drop off our Tiger tickets for tomorrow's game. We decided we would rather spend time with our old Lion friends at Jim & Jean Prough's house. A stop at the grocery store and we were home for the night. Thanks goodness.
