Hyatt Family Summer Vacation 2010 travel blog

It's a ruff life!

Sammy has redecorated her bunk with Twilight's Eclipse posters!

Ryan watches a movie in his bunk

We left Sandusky, Ohio early this morning and stopped in Nappanee, Indiana to take a tour of the Newmar RV factory. As the saying goes, “You win some, you lose some!” Today turned out to be a bust. The Newmar factory was closed for production this week and we were unable to see anything at all there. It was at least 2 hours out of our way to go and find this out! Of course when I called about the tour, they said I did not need reservations and mentioned nothing about closing for a week. I guess this is a standard week to close for the auto industry. It rained quite a bit on our ride to Indianapolis which is where we are staying tonight. We planned to tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway tomorrow, but that will not be happening either. They are not giving tours of the raceway for the next few days. They do have an on track driving experience in an open wheel race car, but that is sold out too! Oh well….. We have had it good so far and if this is the worst that happens on this vacation, we will be good. Sammy is looking forward to getting home, seeing her friends and getting ready for a school trip to Washington DC and NYC, which leaves 2 days after we return home. Ryan is sad the vacation is ending so soon and wants to travel longer! Saint just goes with the flow and as long as he is with his family, all is good in his world!
