Where has the week gone??? Colleen and Ellie are already back in AZ. Miss them already. We entertained Jay's sister Alice and her husband Keith on Monday. It was nice to sit and relax after a busy weekend. Yesterday, I enjoyed breakfast at "The French Laundry", a restaurant in Fenton, with Stacy Long and her foster child Lee-Lee. Stacy is Colleen's age and her mom was my best friend. Breakfast was delicious and the company wonderful. It was a great way to start the day. Then, in the afternoon we went by Pontiac Lake Rec Area to check out our site. The sites are private - LOTS of trees and bushes - meaning mosquitoes and black flies... and 2 miles to the water. Good thing we will be gone a lot. Ball game on Saturday, lunch with Aunt Ann on Sunday... and many friends and relatives to fit in before Wednesday, when we head north. After investigating our next site, we headed over to Macomb to visit Ron & Pam Korte. What a terrific visit. Ron is recovering from major surgery and w2as looking great. Pam is recovering from Ron's ordeal and she too, looked relaxed and happy. Ron took Jay for a ride in his new corvette, Jay was duly impressed, said it was a smooth ride. I told Ron he looked like he belonged in Sun City with his driving hat and the top down. Their son Jason and his daughter Alexandra stopped by when we were there. Jason is Colleen's age and Alexandra in 4 like Ellie - both girls are Princesses - refuse to wear jeans and only want to wear dresses.
Heading out to see niece Barb and look at our condo, that has been rented for a year. It is very hot and humid here, not as bad as Baltimore. Currently 97 degrees and 57% humidity. I will take 118 with 10% humidity any day! We are moving to another state park campground tomorrow. Good thing - we can dump the holding tanks and fill the water tank. One is full the other is empty. Saw the condo today - good thing Jay was not there! Niece Barb will clean up the mess left by Crystal, at least she can get away from babies and get into air conditioning. Staying tonight, too hot out there to go any where. Wanted to share a laugh we had when we returned to the full campground Sunday night. As we were trying to get in to the RV after dark about 10pm a boy about 10 came up to Jay and asked if we were the ones with the Big-screen TV. Guess we stood out amoung all the tent campers. Life is good - yes I have my big-screen and my AC and my refrigerater/freezer - and I am happy!
