July 7th Milwaukee, Wisconsin – the land of 2 season’s…. shovel & swat. We are heavily into the swat season!

We caught some heavy rain after we crossed the Mississippi. The rain did a great job cleaning bugs off the windshield! On the interstate we did 8mpg. In the mountains it was more like 6.5mpg. To fill the gas tank when empty is about $225. An average fill up now is $140. to $160.

We are parked on my brother’s driveway, which is a long winding one, away from the street. He backs up to the river. We had to back all the way up the long driveway. It was pouring as we arrived, tree trimming was done as we waited, branches were being held back by family members, it was quite a production… but we made it. It is not rural here, just suburbs. They have a large front lawn that Bailey loves to run around in. Yes, & then we chase him to get him back. 2 yrs ago he chased a fox!

We have access to water & 30amp electric but alas cannot use the air conditioning. If need be we just go into the house!

We bought our new GPS today. Model 3790-T. Allan is quite busy programming & figuring it out.

We will be here for about a week. It is muggy but supposed to break by Fri. Drove 6 hrs & tired now. Just heard about the small earthquake in L.A. No details as yet. This will not be a very exciting week for the blog. Sorry, family beckons!

Nighty night!
