| Had a tough time figuring out what to do……park seemed like a bad idea unless you like traffic. Linda didn’t seem real psyched to torture the girls with a bike ride…..and Clint was happy wresting with me. We ended up walking up the river to show mom where the girls met their match in the river on tubes. Oddly, Lilli found a flip flop on the way up that looked a lot like the one she lost a few days ago (and when we got back she verified it was a definite match). The rest of the day was spent at the pool or watching the Hannah Montana marathon. There is a part of me somewhat disappointed to have driven this far to do something we could have done without using so much gas…….but the kids were content. The newness of Clint’s “man smell” hasn’t worn off. He is ready every day for the opportunity to hit the shower and then throw on his “man smell”…….I’ve tried to convince him that he doesn’t necessarily have to shower to use his “man smell”…..but he is insistent that the shower is necessary. He also finds it necessary to shave every day…….something else I’ve tried to discourage, but he runs his hand over his face and tells me he is a bit scruffy…….and we shave. Finished up the day with another bike ride down the trail. Not a huge hit with the girls…..but we rode by Café Lilly…..so that is where we dined (big hit with Lilli). Food and service was much better than our last outing…… |
