Hello everyone. Just a short note to let you know that Betty had surgery today on her left eye. The purpose of the surgery is to align her left eye with her right eye and hopefully eliminate the double vision that she has had since her stroke in January 2008. The doctor said the surgery went well but that it will take a week or two for her vision to settle down and for her brain to begin to integrate the images into a single image.
Last week Betty also saw a doctor in the sleep center for a follow up consultation. He has recommended some changes in her medications and daily routines. As Betty recovers from her eye surgery we will be able to implement the sleep doc's recommendations. We are looking forward to moving on from Jacksonville, Florida. Please keep Betty in your prayers and thoughts.
