We had brunch with Rich and Diane (thank god for relatives who understand that everyone doesn't get up at dawn!!) at Floriana's Cafe.
When I discovered that we'd be camping in Iowa tonight, I bemoaned if only I'd known... I've become a fan of the History Channel's new show American Pickers and I know their home base is in Iowa. So Bob said look up the address on the internet. Well who would have believed it, but they were just across the Mississippi from the part of Quad Cities (Davenport Bettendorf Iowa and, Moline and Rock Island, Illinois) where we were staying.
So we jumped in the car and went hunting for the shop. I was excited to find the place but disappointed in what they had to sell. I expected a lot more thing to be for sale. They had a lot of bicycle and motorclcyes and some odds and ends, but given what they buy on the show, I expected to see a lot more stuff for sale. I think they must buy with buyer already in mind.
We drove on to Oelwein and stayed at a nice Coast to Coast resort before heading out to Chetek tomorrow. With this stop, we now have camped in 43 states.
