|Just wanted to quickly update you on where we are. Arrived in Saskatoon today and we're staying at the Gordie Howe campground in overflow. On our way in, we stopped to visit Wilma & Richard in the Tim Hortons parking lot. Were really excited to see them! Then we parked the camper, had a quick bite to eat, went to see my mom Bev and sis Natalie but they weren't home, phoned our friends Marilyn and Sid but they weren't home so we decided to head back to our site to have some quiet time and enjoy the company of the dogs. This is the first time we have had time alone since we began the trip, and it's really nice and relaxing.
Other than that, we've been on the go, mostly running errands and making sure the final details are ready. We had a quick visit with our friend Dean who will also be driving the wedding car for us. He's bringing his '58 Meteor which I absolutely LOVE!!
Not sure if I'll get to update much over the next few days, but I'll really try. Connection is limited in the campground and we are running on basically no power because we are in overflow camping. No hook-ups at all. But I promise to update when I do get the chance.
I can't believe the wedding is only 3 days away. Tomorrow morning we have engagement photos with our photographer. We cancelled them last week because we were exhausted so we'll do take 2 tomorrow morning. We'll be getting some done with the dogs so that should be fun. Then later in the day we get the key to the hall so we can go in and start set-up. Roseanne is coming from Lloyd to help us, since she is Rhonda's maid-of-honor and my maid-of-honor, Leah, will help us on Friday. Yeah! Then in the evening, Rhonda's parents and my brother and his wife will join us at the campground, for the weekend.
On Friday we'll spend the entire day, with lots of help from family and friends, converting the hall into a beautiful place for our celebration. It should be a busy, yet fun, day. I can't wait!! In the evening, my mom Bev will be providing the rehearsal supper for everyone and from there, we'll head out to the Forestry Farm for rehearsal. After that, Rhonda & I will spend the night at Leah's house so that we have a place to shower on Saturday morning. And from there....the wedding day will begin.
So the next few days are going to be very hectic and emotional. We have both felt nervous at times but we know everything will be great. Hope to update you again soon!! ~Crystal
